The authors of this study, sponsored by Lean Concepts AB, described the problem and the purpose of this study as follows:
Problem: How can corporations work with and implement Lean in order to achieve best possible organizational efficiency and effectiveness?
Purpose: The purpose of our study is to describe the Lean concept and how it is interpreted by the choosen companies for our study. The study will also look at different implementation strategies and results that follow from this. Further, it is our intention to show important issues to take care of when implementing Lean, useing the results from the companies that we studied.
